At a moment of transition for the country, Business Roundtable is producing a news-style series of 15-minute episodes to promote policy recommendations and influence stakeholders in the new Administration and Congress. The series features Business Roundtable CEOs addressing a range of priority issues including COVID-19, infrastructure and immigration.
Inkling was hired to produce and brand the series alongside director Catherine Reynolds. Together we developed a creative and editorial framework for the series to support a range of topics and conversations, while keeping the content timely and substantive.
Episode 1: Covid-19
In the first episode of BRT TV, we go behind the scenes with Walmart, Johnson & Johnson, Walgreens and Honeywell for a look at the private sector’s COVID-19 response from the perspectives of four of America’s leading CEOs whose businesses stepped up during the crisis. Hear how they expanded capacity to deliver masks, leaned on research and development to create solutions and tapped into worker ingenuity to vaccinate millions of Americans. It is the story of the business community’s effort to combat COVID-19, end the public health crisis and safely rebuild a prosperous and more equitable economy.
Episode 2: Infrastructure
In the second episode of BRT TV, we discuss with the leaders of Bechtel, Land O’Lakes, Inc., United Airlines, and Business Roundtable why the bipartisan infrastructure framework is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to generate historic investment in our transportation, water, energy and communications infrastructure—key to accelerating economic recovery, generating sustained growth and creating well-paying jobs for hardworking Americans. Hear firsthand from America’s job creators why infrastructure investment is so urgently needed—from lagging aviation systems to lack of broadband access in rural communities—and what it will mean for American workers and families.
Episode 3: US Competitiveness
In the third episode of BRT TV, the CEOs of Raytheon Technologies Corporation, Union Pacific Railroad, Gap Inc. and Dow explain how tax increases on U.S. businesses would undermine the competitiveness of the U.S. economy, businesses and American workers. Harmful tax increases on job creators will hamstring companies’ ability to invest in R&D, innovate, open new plants and facilities and hire employees. Hear firsthand from business leaders as they detail the multi-faceted impact of tax policy on all stakeholders and encourage policymakers to maintain America’s competitive tax code.
Episode 4: Climate
In the fourth episode of BRT TV, the CEOs of Cummins Inc., Duke Energy Corporation and Johnson Controls describe the efforts of America’s job creators to address climate change and call for policies to support the rapid development and deployment of cleaner technologies.
To support the series, a suite of promotional assets were built to highlight pull quotes on Business Roundtable owned channels as well as the individual CEO profiles, to extend the message and drive viewership to each episode.
