Pixel Real Tone Activation

Real Tone is making camera and image technology work more equitably for everyone. To showcase these benefits to policymakers in Washington, DC, Google’s Civics team asked to create a captivating photo activation that could easily transport and activate across multiple event formats. The activation featured a striking dichroic focal point that amplified the Google Pixel camera technology for event attendees and influencers.
Inkling was hired by Creative Theory Agency to manifest this strategy through experiential design and fabrication. Inkling led the design of the activation’s physical format and photo moment to create something iconic, memorable and well suited for both fundraising galas and event the Congressional Baseball game. The dichroic backdrop was created using a modular system that easily crated and stored in between events.
Transportable Design
Knowing the booth would need to activate at Google’s office, fundraising galas and even outdoors for a baseball game, we designed the activation to easily pack up into crates for easy transport and setup. The first activation was featured at the APAICS Annual Awards Gala in the culmination of our nation’s recognition of Asian American & Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander Heritage Month in May.
